We did fireworks with Jay and Kassie again this year. I wanting it to turn into a tradition with them, home fireworks on the 3rd, then city fireworks with the family on the 4th. It was so much fun. Scotty was in bed, so he missed it all, but hopefully next year he will be able to stay up a little later than normal. Jane wasn't really into it, but she did enjoy spending some quality time on Dad's lap.
Earlier in the day, Scott and I took Joe and the kids to buy some fireworks. There was a huge blow- up slide there, so Scott took Scotty down. I don't know if he really liked it, it was all just really new so he didn't know what to think.
Scotty really wanted to go play, he didn't understand the whole stand in line thing. I love the expression on the face of the kid right below him...

Exploring...

Dad had to help him up the wall to the slide.

And here they come!

Jay and Kassie brough over some sweet (and slightly illegal) fireworks, that we all - including the neighbors - enjoyed.

Joe was teasing me by pretending to smoke the smoke.

I was really nervous, I'm not used to the whole fireworks scene.

Joe loved everything about it.

I love Kassie. She makes everything fun.

Crazy Jay...

Little Jane loving her Daddy, and the noisy show.

This is one of those illigal one's that shoot off in the air. The best part was the way Joe was standing... he is so cute!

And the Grand Finale, courtesy of Jay and Kassie. It was so fun. I kep thinking, "why didn't we do this growing up??"
I had fun on the Fourth taking pictures of the babies in their outfits. Scott wasn't crazy about Jane's headband, but I couldn't resist (thank Kat & Abby!).

Scotty loves to give Jane kisses, but I am always nervous he is going to bite her.
This was the closest thing to a smile he would give me!
She has such a cute laughing face!
