City Creek

We took a little family "hike" the other night up City Creek. We had such a good time. I was still fighting my head cold, so I ended it a little early, which turned out to be good for Scotty anyway. He has an ear infection and is needing to get to bed a little earlier than usual these days.
The hike was so nice. Scotty loves exploring, and Scott loves being outside. Jane enjoys the different and new things to look at, and I enjoy the fresh air. Joe said his favorite part of the hike was walking with Scott (no surprise there!).
We chose City Creek b/c I want to start mountain biking - I guess it's about time I start using the bike Scott bought me 4 years ago! I wanted to see what I was in for before I actually had to ride it, so we walked it first. Scott is so cute how periodically he would quiz me about different scenarios I might come across on the bike... "would you go over or around that root?", "how would you get past that rock?", "would you lean forward or backward coming down this hill?". The hike helped me get excited about the bike ride, a little nervous too though!

Our Happy Family.
Our handsome Uncle Joe, always ready to pose for the camera!

We though Scotty would enjoy looking at Mom and Dad during the hike, so we turned him facing us on Joe's back. He wasn't too sure about it at first...

... but after a few minutes, he really started enjoying it.

I look terrible, but everyone else looked so cute, I had to put this picture up. I loved the babies' looks.
Scotty loved pulling the seeds off these flowers and watching them float away.
Looking for fish, I guess...
