No More Diapers!!

Jane is officially potty trained. It has been about 2 weeks since our little girl had a diaper on her bum and as frustrating and disgusting and time intensive as potty training is, I am so glad we did it sooner rather than later.

For the most part I based potty training Jane off of 3 Day Potty Training method. To be honest, it took longer than 3 days, but given that she is only 22 moths, I didn't hold it against her. The best part of this method, I thought, was that instead of asking Jane if she had to go, I told her to tell me when she had to go. This worked especially well for her because she likes to do her own thing and be in control of what she is doing. It also helped Jane to see her older brother use the potty, so luckily we never had the fear of the potty or pooping issues that some kids have. Of course there are still accidents occasionally, but they are typically when she is distracted by a movie or in the car and we don't get her to a bathroom in time. I am so proud of my sweet little girl for her huge accomplishment in life. One step closer to a beautiful, confident, self-reliant woman.
