We are going to add a little more love to our home very soon... in the form of a sweet little bundle of Porter baby. I found out earlier this month that I am pregnant with Baby #3, and I am absolutely thrilled, terrified, in love already and so not ready - but really, who is ready for a baby? I mean really ready?
With the first two Porter babies being so close in age, I knew I needed to give myself a little more time between #2 and #3, but I didn't want there to be too much time so that the third felt excluded from the older two - as if I can solve all of their sibling fights and issues before he/she is even born.
Anyway, the whole family is pretty pumped about this new baby. Scott of course, wants as many and as quickly as I can pop them out (sick, I know), and he was ready to have another one the day after Jane came home from the hospital. So to say he is happy and excited is definitely an understatement. Scotty talks about there being a baby in my tummy, but I don't think he really gets it yet, considering his question of "Did you eat it Mommy?". And Jane is completely oblivious to the idea. Both Scotty and Jane LOVE babies though, so I am pretty sure the only problem, at least at first, will be keeping them from smothering the little one.
I am, of course getting nervous already about childbirth. As Itsy so lovingly reminded me "It's gonna hurt so bad!".... thanks Itsy. But as I watch childbirth videos, read the books I have as well blogs/websites, and then as I talk to Scott (not Itsy anymore) about my fears and excitement, I think about how amazing it is to hold that sweet little baby for the first time and nothing else really matters. Yep, it's gonna hurt. Yep, I'm gonna get sick and puke. Yep, I am going to have to have Scott's help to role over in bed during the 8th and 9th month. Yep, I am going to be really busy with three kids.
But I am so excited to hold that little one I can hardly wait!

So excited for you! You will continue to be a wonderful mom. What a lucky baby to get to have you for its mother.
Hey- congratulations!! That is so great! I can't believe how big your little kiddos are getting, but they are adorable! Congrats on the potty training of #2- that's a nice way to start w/ the third, having 1 and 2 potty trained! :) We miss you guys and hope that everything keeps going well for you.
