Raspberry Days

A few weeks ago, while making one of our many McKee's Pet Shop / The Zoo (to Scotty and Jane) / Let's keep Mommy sane trips we happened to see a friend of ours, Jenn, with her two boys (I wonder if it was a "Let's keep Mommy sane" trip for her too...). She invited us to go with their family camping at Bear Lake. We, of course, were all for it.

When I called to reserve out campsite (luckily there was a cancellation, or we wouldn't have gotten one) we found out that the weekend we chose happened to be Raspberry Days; what a fun treat - literally!! Those raspberry milkshakes were amazing!!

We went down earlier than Dennis and Jen (and their boys, Austen and Grayson) on Saturday; played in the bounce houses, walked around the craft fair (my favorite!), got some yummy food, and then went to set up our campsite and get our dutch oven dinner going for everyone - Scott is the king of dutch oven cooking!! Later that night we all went to a rodeo. Scotty liked watching the horses, but he loved playing with Austen.

Our campsite...
The next day our main activity was the beach. What a beautiful day for the beach!! The whole trip was so relaxing and fun. When we are rich, I am going to buy some property down there. What a great weekend! Awesome friends, beautiful scenery, amazing raspberries, doesn't get much better.

The next morning we had to leave early so Scott could get back to work, but we didn't leave without buying some over priced, but super yummy raspberries. We are still enjoying the jam and milkshakes back here in P-town.
