My Other Half

A few months ago I decided that I needed more attention from Scott. For the most part, I am not a very needy person. But when it comes to my husband... "I need! I need!" (What About Bob anyone??). I will never get enough of the hunk of a man that I married. So I did something we used to be really good at, but in recent years had seemed like a dream... I asked him on a date! I know, genius! Three to four hours of uninterrupted adult conversation, with maybe a little flirting here and there. I was in heaven.

When we came home I had the most brilliant idea ever; we would have date night once a week. So, I got the best babysitter ever, convinced her to sit on my kids every Thursday night, and we were set. I plan every other week, and Scott plans every other week.

So, tonight we went out mountain biking for our date. I have a mountain bike. I know how to ride my mountain bike. The bike part I am OK with. It is the mountain part that scares me. Tonight was my first attempt at conquering City Creek, and let's just say that it conquered me. I didn't fall or anything - there is no way I would have gone fast enough to fall. Poor Scott. Whenever there was a hill, whether I was going up or down, I would get off and walk for fear of falling. Scott was so good to me, so encouraging. He has gotten really good at the praise and appreciation thing.

Anyway, we got off the hill right before it started raining, which I was so glad for. I can't imaging going any slower due to bad riding conditions. We went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner - yummy! For dinner, I thought it would be fun to each choose the other's dinner. This is what came out...

the exact same dish!!
I was totally reminded of that Spice Girls song "2 Become 1". Ya ya ya, I am a Spice Girls fan... you can stop laughing now. :) Oh, and the food was awesome. I love my date nights. And I love my sweet husband that lets me get as much of his time as I need. Love you baby doll!!
