My 3rd Sixth Birthday

Growing up, I wasn't so fond of the whole Leap Day thing. I remember waking up on March 1st and being teased that I had slept through my birthday. And then when Feb 29th really did come around, I was expecting something great because it only happened every 4 years... yeah, not so much.

This year was different though. I loved that the attention was on this being my 6th birthday (again) and not that I was really turning 26. I don't know why, but I hate that I am turning 26. It just seems so much older than 25.

I am pretty sure I am going through some kind of midlife crisis right now.

Maybe I should just go by one of these...

I don't think Scott would mind.

Scott took me skiing on Saturday. I hadn't been in 3 years (since I have been prego the past 2) and I was terrible. I didn't fall though, which was a mini miracle in itself. I can't decide which I enjoyed more, the skiing, or the complete attention of my hot date.

Sunday morning, Scott worked on my cake. I challenged him to make this super yummy chocolate cake. I told him not to worry about my high expectations, the last time I had the cake it was only made by the pastry chef that came up with the recipe.

For dinner at the Porter's, Rhoud surprised me with Navajo Tacos (my all time favorite dinner). He is so sweet! Then we had The Cake and it was amazing. Yes, I have a pastry chef for a husband.

Scott wore my favorite shirt of his. He wore that shirt on our first date. The other day I told him he could never throw it away, because if he dies before me, that is the shirt I am going to lay around moping in for the first few months (is that wierd??).

Only 2 days before Jane's 1st Birthday. Only 2 days before she is allowed to have cake, ice cream and any other kind of sweets.
Mommy's little girl is ready for chocolate!! I love the chubby legs in this shot.
My sweet little man being so sweet to Mom on her birthday.

Nope I don't think that is weird at all! Eric had this green jacket that he wore on our first date and I told him he could never give it away! He has to save it to show our children/grandchildren, etc. ;)
