McKee's Petting Zoo, a.k.a. My Life Saver

I love my son... and he loves being outside. Rain or shine, day or night, at home or away - it really doesn't matter... Scotty wants to be outside. This wouldn't really be an issue if our backyard was fenced in. But, since it isn't, and since I have a 2 month old that needs attention as well, Scotty doesn't get quite the amount of time outside that he thinks he needs. This is where McKee's comes in. First, I get Jane fed and in the car seat - the motion of the car takes care of the rest with her. Then I make sure Scotty has his sippy, and off we go to the petting zoo. He loves it. He would spend hours there if I let him. Wandering from the monkey, to the puppies, to the kitties, to the goats, the fish, the baby ducks... well, you get the picture. It is so funny to see him walk up to the Canadian Goose and then back up real fast when it honks at him (he doesn't like that too much).

Last week Scott and Joe came with us to the zoo. It was fun to share it with Scott, since he works so much he sometimes misses out on the things we do during the day. I can't wait till he is home at nights again! My man is so amazing how he provides for our family. It is humbling to see how hard he works so that we can live comfortably. I love my husband.

Oh yeah... the zoo. We had such a fun time, but I really need to remember to give the camera to someone else once in a while. I promise I was there!!

Scott showing Scotty the goat (if you look at the bottom of the picture you can see me shadow... proof that I was there!).
Scott and Joe showing Scotty the donkey.

The goose that scared Scotty. Joe is teasing it for Scotty.

Scott is having a little chat with the goose about manners...
Scotty and Joe by the sheep.

Scotty pulled the hair, I guess wool, on this sheep. Yeah, it didn't like that too much.

And Jane sleeping through the whole thing...
