Jane's hair is getting so blonde with the summer sun on it so much. I remember when I was little, mine would do the same thing. When my mom would brush my hair, she would say my hair was like "spun gold", and now that is what I am reminded of when I see my beautiful girl with her goldish blonde hair, shining in the sun. What a beautiful baby I have!
Jane's newest words:
da (with a bit of a grunt from excitement added): Dog
hi (usually accompanied with a wave): hi or bye
momma: that's me!! she learned this one a while ago, but only said it when she was tired. she now say's it all the time (which I love!!)
ssss: which could mean stick, snake, or any other word beginning with "S".
shu: shoe (what a girl!!)

Jane is a little dare devil! I guess it is typical of the second child to mimic what the older one does, I was just not ready for her to climb so high, jump and not cry, slide with no help, fall so much and not mind the scratches (for the most part), wander off and not cry for Mom, or to just grow up so fast!! She is supposed to be my little baby. What happened??

Jane has developed a bit of a shy streak, which is so adorable. Even when she is around people she knows, until she decides that she is OK with the people around her, she stays in my arms, with her head tucked in my neck. I really do love it. I'll let her stay in my arms for as long as she wants!

Jane has a thing for necklaces. Since before she turned one, she has liked to find beads, ropes, ribbon, anything with a cord (the other day it was a camera case that had a long strap), and put it on like it is a necklace. What a little girly.

Jane has recently started biting. She thinks it is so funny to get a reaction out of me. Not cool little one!! I don't know exactly what to do about this one. If I punish her at all (tell her no, swat on the bum), she just laughs, and then I laugh because she is so cute - but that doesn't exactly send the right message.

She is the cutest little sleeper....

To say that Jane love babies would be an understatement. She gets so excited when she sees a baby (or puppy). She starts waving her little arm a million miles an hour to say hi, and gets this excited grunting thing going on. Put this with a grin from ear to ear, and she is sure to get any new mom to stop and let her see the baby.
Love you baby girl!!
