Heaven to a Two Year Old

After our trip to Moab, Scotty was so excited about camping, that he wanted to continue doing so in our backyard. Really, I think he just likes staying up WAY past his bedtime and being outside for so long. I was at Westwood Discount (my favorite store of all time) and saw this little tent and had no choice but to get it for the little man.

The tent found itself a home in my living room, right in front of the front door. The kids love it, and I love that the kids spend so much time in there, but opening the front door seems to come in handy every now and then, so we had to move it to the back yard. Where it has been for the last couple days.

Scotter finally got to go camping in it last night. I took out books, skittles, snack mix and flashlights for them to play with. Scotty had SO much fun. I went out to check on them around 11ish and found Scotty crawling all over Dad and the tent, playing with flashlights, laughing and talking. I found Scott sleeping, I guess Scotty wore him out. At that point I asked Scotty if he wanted to sleep in his bed and he said yes. Scott was so happy to go inside and sleep in his own bed, I've never seen him move to fast.

Even though they didn't actually sleep outside, they both had so much fun.
