Scotty and Daddy watching for Grandma and Grandpa...
Mommy and the most adorable little Baby...

Because we had been out late on Christmas Eve, Scotty didn't wake up Christmas morning till about 8:45, which was driving me insane! I wanted not only to see him open his presents, but I still get excited about my presents... Scott thought it was pretty funny that I was getting so antsy to open presents. Oh well, we figured this will be the last Christmas for a while that we have to wait on the kids to get up.
Scotty was so cute opening his stocking. He didn't really know what to do with it, so we helped him look inside where he found the Simpson's toys that we got him. I think he liked the orange the best, he like the taste of the peel.
Baby opening up a few presents...

Scott opening his Glenn Beck book - I think that is a smile on his face...
The whole morning was so much fun with Scotty. I love my little family so much. We wanted to keep Christmas on a budget this year because of the baby coming and not knowing what our financial situation will be in the next few months, college for 2 more years or the start of a teaching career. I thought it would put a damper on things, but this has been my favorite Christmas by far. I was pretty worried about my gifts for Scott (I stress over such stupid stuff!!), he loved them... I made him a blanket that always stays tucked in - it drives him insane that I pull the blankets untucked while I sleep - so now he stays all snuggled in the whole night through. Scott surprised me with my wedding ring in my stocking, freshly cleaned and repolished so it sparkled like the day he gave it to me. We also made little Christmas goodie plates and took them as well as an Ensign on Christ to a few of our neighbors. Scott and I both tryed to focus more on serving others as well as making the gifts we did give more meaningful. I hope that all of our Christmas's can be as great as this one.
