I love Autumn. It is such a beautiful time of year. Summer will always be my favorite, nothing can quite top a hot summer day with a warm wind that brings the smells of late blooming lilacs. Ahhhh, even the thought of it relaxes me. OK, I'm back. Where was I? Oh yeah, autumn. I think the colors and sounds of autumn are the perfect transition to winter, it kind of eases me into it.
Scott was mowing the lawn/leaves in the back yard until I reminded him that our two little angels needed a new spot to destroy and those leaves were begging to be jumped in. Needless to say, we all had a pretty fun afternoon.
After a few run threws, Janey was happy for a little alone time. :)
Halloween was especially fun this year since Scotty is understanding more and more. He finally got the guts to say "Trick-or-Treat" when he realized I wasn't going to say it for him and that was how he got the candy. Janey simply said "Thank you" to everyone, which was cute enough as it is. Although Jane's "Thank you" is more of a throat noise with the sound of thank you, but surprisingly enough, everyone understands what she is saying".
This was the first year Scotty chose his costume, of Bob the Builder. I had a fun time making his costume. Jane's was a little easier, since I was mainly concerned with her warmth. Her costume was simply a giraffe jacket, I added a pink bow to the mane so people that didn't know her would know she was a girl.
