I think the birth of a baby is the most amazing, terrifying, beautiful, empowering, and humbling event in our human existence. From the moment of conception, through the joys, anticipation, the worries, pains, the excitement of carrying a child for nine months, and then to the hardest and most rewarding ending imaginable, there is this beautiful and inspiring new life that takes over a woman and turns her into a Mother.
I was with Itsy when she became a Mother for the second time. It was beautiful. Being in that room, seeing the love between her and Danny, hearing the first breaths and cries of one of God's children, it was beautiful.
Nolan Daniel Roberts was born on April 9th, 2010. Such a perfect little boy. He, of course, is dark and handsome like his Daddy, and sweet with not a lot of cries yet (very non-confrontational) like his Mommy. Lainy is so cute with him, wanting to see and touch every bit of him, but like any one year old, not quite knowing how much is too much. Her sweet little voice saying "baby" makes me smile every time I hear it.
Thank you Itsy and Danny, for letting me witness such a miracle.
