My "One Carrot" Ring

One of the weekends that I came home, we went to Molinelli's Jewelry store (Scott loves to support the locals!) here in Poky and we picked out the ring. I love that we picked it out together. We both had a similar idea of what the ring should look like. So I got what I wanted, two tone and princess cut, and Scott chose the actual diamond (after all, he was paying for it...). He also convinced me to leave the two side diamonds that are in the band itself, and I am so glad.

A few weeks later, again when I had come home to visit, Scott proposed in his living room. It was the day I was supposed to leave to go back to Jackson and I was so sad that I had to leave (and to be honest I was a little disapointed I hadn't been proposed to yet... I know, BRATTY!!). I was on the sofa, just waking up, being lazy and feeling sad that I had to leave, when Scott came in from the kitchen, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with a carrot with a hole cut into it. I was totally caught off gaurd and didn't know what to do but laugh and cry and kiss him, so that's exactly what I did. After I said yes, he pulled out the real ring, which is GORGEOUS, and slipped it on my finger. Just thinking about that moment makes me melt. I love Scott so much!

The other drivers on the road back to Jackson were probably in more danger than if there had been black ice on the road, since I was looking more at my beautiful ring than I was the road. I'm surprised I made it back...
