Jane, the Fire-Cracker

This month has flown by, and I have been way too busy. When this happens the first thing that seems to go is my blogging time. It's my fault really. I have been working on a million different "little projects" that never seem to get done. With the holidays right around the corner, I have been getting my creative groove on and I think I am attempting things that are way beyond my crafting ability. Enough about me though. This post is dedicated to my fire-cracker daughter and her adorable doings.
Jane turned 6 months old on the 2nd (I know, I am way late!). WOW, that was fast. Is it just me or did it take longer for Scotty to hit the 6 month mark? Anyway, she is there, in full force. She started eating solids (if you can call mushy rice cereal a solid) and she loves it. She devoures the spoon anytime it gets close to her mouth, and if it isn't close, she grabs it and as fast as she can, gets it to her mouth.

Jane started crawling! I know I'm not supposed to compare my kids, but how in the world am I not going to? Scotty started crawling the day he started walking... at 13 months! I loved it. Not the fire-cracker though. It's actually pretty cute. It's a combination of an army crawl and this role from side to side thing to build up momentum. I need to get it on video, but she rarely does it when I want her to, it's only if she feels like it (too much like her mother, and I am getting scared!).

This is the side to side action she does to get going with her crawl... too cute!

Jane popped her first tooth. I feel really terrible about this one. Here I am sitting in her doctor's office giving all the right answers, just thinking I am such a great mom. Then I ask "Can you tell if she is going to get teeth soon? She has been drooling a lot!" "You didn't see," he replies "she already has one on her bottom right" HELLO? WHERE HAVE I BEEN?? I swear, I really do love my children, and I do give them attention. I don't have any pics yet of the tooth, I guess I'm not quick enough.

Jane loves her Uncle Joe. And he is so good with her. The other day while she was sleeping, I ran to the Treet to see Scott. I told Joe to call me when she woke up. When I got home, she had woken up and Joe had changed her diaper, got her a new bottle and was playing with her downstairs in the family room. It was so cute!
This is after Joe changed her diaper. Notice anything "different"? The diaper is on backwards... but I can't blame him! She wiggles like crazy when she gets her diaper changed!!
I love my little Janey girl. She is really starting to get her very own personality. She loves her brother. They have started to make each other laugh, which is too cute for words. I am so lucky to have such a sweet little girl. I hope I can be the mom that she needs, I love you baby girl!!

Oh My, tell Scott to keep honing his batting skills, cause he's going to have to chase the a town of boys away. So beautiful!
