Here are a few pics from our first family vacation. I know it has been a while, but better late than never, right?

Since Scott had never been to NY we wanted to fit as much in to our 10 days as we could, so we first went to Kirtland, OH for a day, up to Jamestown to visit Beka and her family, up to Niagara Falls and then to Palmyra before heading up to Saranac Lake for Family Camp. It was a lot to squeeze in, but totally worth it. It was so much fun seeing all the church sites with Scott. I really took them for granted when I was young and growing up right next to them.

Across from the Kirtland Temple there is this little ice cream shop that reminded Scott of the old Tastee Treet... so of course we had to stop to see if it compared. It was close, but nothing can quite compare to that Hot Space Burger with extra cheese!!

So does anyone else find it completely crazy that I lived in NY for the majority of my childhood, going to Niagara Falls at least 5-6 times a summer, and yet I have to wait until I live in Idaho and go back to visit that I can FINALLY go on the Maid of the Mist! I guess that's what I get for being the seventh of nine. Anyway, we loved it. The Falls were of course BEAUTIFUL, and Scotty loved playing with his baby poncho (which I am really surprised that the makers of that baby poncho haven't been sued - I mean you're basically putting a grocery bag over your baby's head! But he sure did look cute!)
While in Niagara Falls we also went to the Skylon Tower for lunch (food was crap, but the view was awesome!)

Here are a few pics from Family Camp. I am so glad we went. Scott and I had such a great and relaxing time. Surprisingly, since it was a Seventh Day Adventist Camp, it was a real testimony builder for me and for Scott. The blessings that come from prayer, and personal and modern revelation are so amazing and immense. We are so blessed to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to know that we can pray for answers to questions and actually expect and receive an answer! What an amazing Father in Heaven we have! What an amazing Plan!
Here is Joey and I riding horses. I have officially decided that I hate riding horses. From far away, they are beautiful animals, but I just can't ride them (especially when I am in an arena with Joe and I am afraid enough that the other horses will come bite my legs and Joe doesn't have control over his horse at all and just lets it come right up next to me anytime!!)

And here are my two baby boys trying to take a nap! I love my babies!!

This is one of my best friends from Family Camp growing up, Rene Sherwood. She came up for a few days, so I got a chance to catch up with her. It was so fun to see her. It is funny to think about how much life has changed since we last saw each other.
